Sent Bryon to Calvary Hospital with Pierre at around 1am . He called me saying he was very ill, dint have any medications left. When we reached, he was really very pale and sick . Pierre suggested sending him to A&E.
It was my first time actually waiting in A&E. It's kinda small compared to the ones in Singapore. There were around 5-6 cases before him, but we waited for like 1-2 hrs before the queue starts moving. One guy left without seeking medical help, after waiting for about 2 hrs , but who knows how long he have been waiting before we reached.
Apparently this 1 year old baby,who came after us, was classified to be a more important case than Bryon's. Due to the long wait, Bryon was feeling better and the fever was gone when his turn finally came around 5am . Luckily, i was able to grab firm's txtbk from Sing Yee to study. was really zapped out of my energy that i rest my head on the seat n fell aslp while waiting. i didnt even know what pierre murmured to me.
This nurse came out n ask if we wld like to go in the ward to accompany bryon while waiting for the blood report. a 45mins wait became to 1 hr plus . Again, i slept on the chair in an awkward position. The nurse was very kind to switch off the light for us. Woke up time n again to switch my position, to see if the doctor came back, what pierre n bryon was doing. I was the only one sleeping. Bryon was sitting on the bed, Pierre was standing up n talking to him. my eyes could barely open up when the doc returns FINALLY.
apparently, there seems to be only 2 doctors working which explains why it took such a long time. There was a case of assaulted at the casino i think. 2 men, one was drunk, uttering rubbish, and one woman were waiting outside. Initally, we wondered what's the purpose of their visit. Then 2 policeman came out n talked to them. OVerheard some of their conversation. Apparently, their guy friend was beaten up by some unknown ppl after he walked out of the casino. the woman was asking ' does this alws happen in canberra ?' whether they caught that grp of ppl'
anyway, it was really one good experience of how A&E was like in Canberra. Bryon had to pay $130 over bucks for the medical fees! if they were to employ more doctors to get things done more quickly n efficiently, i guess it will be more than wat he's paying now.
got to cancel my driving lesson again. i feel so guilty cancelling . I was really looking forward to my lesson. *Sigh* 12:30 PM
