b4 i started this class, i was thinking wat e hell m i doing here? its such a waste of time... everyone has e same thoughts as me... but after i finished this course, i found that it wasnt a waste of time at all, i pretty enjoyed myself throughout this course and learned many many stuffs.... including thinking skills. the whole course focus mostly on drink driving cause its the most common accidents on e road... i was taught crashes are not "accidents"
i pictured driving as " well, driving on e road, looking for signs, people, traffic ,cars that simple" but actually when ya r on e road, so many things could happen and there r so many things that can distract ya... i didnt realise that when u r driving, u alws tend to look at ur left n neglect ur right.
the facilitator was great. she was not boring n told us alot of stories n carried out the lesson in an interesting way. we had group discussions, watched lots of videos, played some games. at the start of our lesson, she showed us a video on melanie's car crash. it was such a sad story, i felt so sorry for her... in my mind, i was wondering why did u show us this video at e start of e lesson? r u trying to scare us? it's really demoralising. it mades me more scare of driving...
85% of e video we watch were all on drink driving... most of it were victoria's advertisements... these advertisements were really very gd... but i guess it doesnt hav much impact on ppl 'cause our minds choose to "shut" down these images...
DONT THINK OF A GREEN FROG.... what's first on ur mind? a green frog right... its funny how our brain works...but this is how it works thou. that's why advertisements seldom hav dont drink nor dont smoke... did u realise that?
laura told us that e most 3 successful advertisements are cigarettes, macas and coke... macas has e impression of "happy", that's why they have happy meals... u can see that most of their advertisements have to do with being happy right...
there was this activity where we had to watch a video n were asked to count e no. of times the ppl in white passes e ball... there were 2 groups, one white and one black... so after watching, laura asked if we saw e gorilla... only a few hands raised up. i cant believe that i miss e gorilla... all of us were concentrating on e whites... after watching e 2nd time, the gorilla was very obvious... this proves one thing, when we r concentrating on one thing, we tend to overlook other stuffs as well.
well, i passed e course ! n now i hav my L license... n over here, i can drive as long as a full license is sitting beside me.... cool huh....but i'll still going back to spore to learn driving as well... i wonder if i have e time to learn.... cant wait to start my first lesson thou...
